Marianna's Prom!

Hello All! I wanted to write a little post about Marianna's prom! I was very excited to get Marianna ready for her prom. She has worked so hard and earned every moment of it. She came to this country only a few years ago and has been busting her behind to graduate on time. Not only was she going to school in during the day, but also in the evening to catch up. All the while she has been working the entire time. She really is quite a worker bee. I was glad to be a part of her special afternoon.

Congrats Marianna on your graduation & prom!
You go girl!

Real Wedding: Cinbrella's Trial Upstyle

Hello All & Happy Friday!

I'm sorry we haven't been posting, I just finally was able to finish editing our blog. Whadddyathink?

Anyhow, This past week we had a trial style with Cinbrella. Cinbrella & her fiance are the cutest couple. He was around for the cake tasting (where we met) as well as the consult. {she booted him out for the trial though!} They seem very much in love and eager to start their life together. I am blessed to be involved in their wedding festivities. Both are avid football fans & attend Galludet University together. Although Cinbrella will be leaving her victoria secret inspired, pink stripped bedroom soon, I know she is looking forward to living with her new hubby. <3

Cinbrella has be most beautiful curly hair. It is long all the way down her back. Healthy and blonde. {my fav!} She chose a beautiful Grecian inspired half up style that goes great with her bridal headband. Here are a few photos of her trial style.

See what I mean when I say she has beautiful hair?

Real Wedding: Chris' Beautiful Baltimore Wedding!

Hello All! Happy Friday!

We recently did a wedding for a much deserving bride Chris. She is a refreshing and optimistic person. It really was a pleasure getting her, her sister and her mother all beautified. We arrived at Chris' home that morning to find her relaxing in a robe drinking champagne! I knew it would be a stress free afternoon when I saw that. :)

Here are some photos!

                                                                                              We were able to get
the girls to get lashes! They are so dramatic.

Chris wore her hair long, healthy and flowing. We gave her a nice curl to boot.

Chris' sister was also on hand to get her hair and makeup done.

They were such a fun loving group. Chris' mother was one of the best MOB I have yet to meet. She was hilarious. I wish all of the happiness she can handle with her new marriage & move. <3

Real Wedding: Hilary's Trial Upstyle

Hi All! I am excited to post yet another trial upstyle! I met with Hilary this past weekend to do her trial style. I love the theme of her wedding, she is doing a very sleek 20's glam. Sort of a Great Gatsby feel. I am in love. I'm just going to sneak into her wedding and steal ideas for my own.

She is such a natural bride, she really has great skin and wears little makeup. (Oh the life!) She chose a simple and sophisticated chignon for her wedding day. Here are a few images!

You really have to love this, I mean it is so sleek.
and finally her vintage inspired veil piece. I must really be on a veil kick cause I just love hers.  Don't mind the tag! I am looking forward to her wedding in a few weeks!   **Excited**

Alison O's Big Day!

With every wedding I get just as excited as the one before. Alison's wedding was no exception. Alison was a great bride to work with. There was an immediate connection when we met at the creative cakes cake tasting in April. I mean, we do have the same first name. (exact spelling & everything!) I mean really how often does that really happen.

Alison & her step-daughter Melissa invited me to come prepare them for Alison's wedding. It was one of the most relaxing weddings I have had the pleasure of doing. We primped and pampered in the double tree, which btw has these 'pure floors'. It is amazing, the air is purified and everything in the room is sanitized so that germs and diseases don't stick around. How they do it, I have no idea.

Looks comfy doesn't it.

Anyhow, on to the more important things. Alison was such an upbeat bride, I loved it. When we first met she brought a photo of a beautiful fresh looking bride jumping through the air.
It matched her personality so much she purchased the shoes, dress & veil. How is that for one stop. When we met for the trial up style she showed me this photo again. Although this is a beautiful photo, it leaves the hair to the imagination a bit. I loved the loose and relaxed style the hair had and I mimicked my version of something similar. After installing the veil, we found it wasn't quite what she wanted!
Once we reevaluated, pulled some pins I hit the nail on the head!
We were able to take her veil and rework it to look like something completely different as well. As I said in my last post, I love creative veil & hairpieces.
Alison's even more laid back step daughter also had her hair blown out.

I truly believe we were able to give Alison a beautiful hairstyle that flattered her style. She was a pleasure to work with and I wish her and her new husband all the happiness in the world.

Etsy!

As a few of you may know I am a vintage/handmade fanatic.

Etsy.com is one of my favorite websites for online shopping. Everything is handmade, and no two items are alike. Doing hair for weddings this often, you see the same 7 veils from davids bridal. Its refreshing when a bride has a different take on their bridal accessories. I found this this morning & I was in love. I think its such a unique and beautiful comb. Check it out here:

In other news, we are busy busy in the middle of bridal season. Today we are helping Chris celebrate her I do's at the Visionary Art Museum. :) Congrats!

Real Wedding: Jeanie's Trial Upstyle

So yesterday, I met with Jeanie T for her trial up style. This beautiful bride has been planning her wedding from North Carolina, while her family and friends come into Maryland from everywhere. (Talk about a destination wedding!) Jeanie and her fiance Chris are one of the most laid back couples I have yet to see. Jeanie, explained her  opinions, sat back & let me do my thing. Below are a few of the results of Jeanies trial updo. Please forgive some of the fuzz, we didn't do a lot of finishing touches & we were in bathroom lighting. We will have more about this couple in our day of blog!

More photos to come of their wedding Tomorrow at the Annapolis Naval Academy!
